Kristoffer Nordfeldt 6.0m
Kristoffer Nordfeldt had an eventful debut at home to Häcken, scoring an own goal, making 8 saves and registering 10 ball recoveries leading to a defensive bonus point. Up against an Örebro side who have failed to score in 5 out of 8 games away from home, the clean sheet prospects looks tasty.
Erick Otieno 6.6m
Keeping with AIK defence, Erick Otieno continues to put up good numbers for bonus points, registering 10 offensive and 17 defensive bonus points so far this season. If the assist count start ticking upwards as well, he should be in for a superb second half of the season.
Jean Carlos de Brito 4.8m
Assuming he shakes off the injury concerns in time, Jean Carlos de Brito looks like a great option at home to Halmstad. 3 clean sheets, 1 assist, 5 offensive and 5 defensive bonus points in his 4 last appearances, Jean Carlos looks a key cog for Varberg and fantasy managers a like going forward.
Ari Freyr Skulason 5.9m
Norrköping are up against an Östersund side who will be forced to make do without the suspended trio Blair Turgott, Felix Hörberg, and Sam Mensiro. Ari Freyr Skulason should have a decent chance of a clean sheet and could also be involved going forward, registering 2 goals and 2 assists this season.
Magnus Eriksson 9.7m
Magnus Eriksson continues to shatter records and post impressive statistics, even when attacking returns fail to materialise. Having scored no less than 5 points in any game for the 8 games since the summer restart, Eriksson is borderline essential at this point.
Edward Chilufya 7.0m
4 appearances without attacking returns (coupled with a sickness absence in Gameweek 15) has seen Edward Chilufya’s ownership dwindle by the thousands, even if he still sits in roughly every third squad out there. Despite failing to score against Mjällby he showed a lot of attacking intent, managing 4 shots. With an xG of 5.53 on the season resulting in just 3 goals so far, we could be looking at a return to form away to Sirius.
Sebastian Larsson 10.1m
Sebastian Larsson has served his time in the sinbin and returns to the AIK squad ahead of GW17. With 2 goals, 3 assists, 5 offensive and 4 defensive bonus points in his 5 last games, Larsson appears to have been in great form before the suspension. The Scout reckons he is ready to let loose once more and Örebro could be the ones to suffer for it.
Tashreeq Matthews 5.5m
Tashreeq Matthews is starting to become a mini-version of Magnus Eriksson, scoring 4 or more points in every game since the season kicked back up again in GW9. 3 goals, 3 assists, 6 offensive and 3 defensive bonus points have been registered in that timeframe, and at home to local rivals Halmstad, Matthews will be raring to go.
Anders Christiansen 12.2m
Malmö’s skipper Anders Christiansen has seen his minutes heavily managed so far this season, due to Malmö’s ongoing adventures in Europe. Having qualified for the Champions League group stage (congratulations are in order!), Christiansen should be a bit less rotation-prone for a few Gameweeks before it kicks off again. Despite not making it past 60 minutes since GW7, AC is the third highest scoring midfielder in the game, and he is now up against a Hammarby side who should be tired after playing a full 120 minutes + penalties against Basel on Thursday.
Samuel Adegbenro 8.1m
With 3 goals and 1 assist in his 5 last games, Samuel Adegbenro is in fine form as Norrköping entertain a depleted Östersund side. With Chritoffer Nyman helping out in attack as well, Adegbenro should get plenty of opportunities to score this week.
Victor Edvardsen 6.9m
Victor Edvardsen has scored 8 goals and 3 assists this season, with all but a solitary assist being registered in their 6 last home games. Without a doubt Edvardsen prefers to play his games in front of the home crowd and this week they get to entertain relegation rivals Mjällby.
Every week in the Scout Picks, a captain is selected from the 11 chosen players. The Captain Pick is meant to give some guidance into who has the biggest potential for points this Gameweek and who looks relatively safe, according to the Scout.
This Gameweek the Captain Pick is Samuel Adegbenro who should be able to make the most out of a very shaky Östersund side missing some key players.
